HISTORI OF THE PEOPLE

About its origin in the Middle Ages, it is due to a noble gentleman from Burgos “who married our city with Ximena Bezudo”, sister of two famous captains, and who “brought in dowry all the campaign where her husband populated the towns that he named his name and his children: Martín Muñoz … ». But its true incorporation to the segovian space, is due to the mercy that of this term did the king Alfonso X to the Segovian Council in 1358, confirming in this way a preexisting situation, but that strengthened the territory of the Earth in the border of Arévalo. Its prominence and the importance of its parochial architecture come, however, from the fact that it was the place of origin of Diego de Espinosa, General Inquisitor, President of the Council of Castile and Cardinal of the Holy Church of Rome. ”

The town has a church in whose interior we can see a picture of El Greco, also in its vicinity, we can see a Roman bridge. We also have a municipal swimming pool where we can take a dip.
